One of the things I have had to figure out with The Gigman’s Life is that not every day needs to be a video day.
That may sound strange when you are trying to build a channel, a website, and a routine around posting content. Everybody talks about consistency. Everybody talks about feeding the algorithm. Everybody talks about staying active, staying visible, and making sure people do not forget you exist.
And I understand that.
But I also live in the real world.
This channel is called The Gigman’s Life for a reason.
The gig life does not pause because I want to make content. Bills still show up. Gas still has to go in the car. The car still needs maintenance. Food still costs money. Insurance still exists. And weekends are usually one of the better times to focus on actually making money.
So, for me, weekends are not usually the best time to sit down and do videos.
That does not mean I am not thinking. That does not mean I am not working on ideas. That does not mean the brain shuts off.
Trust me, the brain does not shut off.
But there is a difference between creating content and needing to go out and do the thing that pays for the equipment, the website, the gas, the car, and the life around all of this.
During the week, I can usually find a rhythm for talking through ideas, doing Breakfast Talk, posting articles, cleaning up live transcripts, and building the structure of the site.
On the weekend, the priority shifts.
The weekend is when people are out. The weekend is when rides happen. The weekend is when events, restaurants, bars, family trips, airport runs, and random human behavior all come together. And since I work rideshare and gig work, that matters.
That is not me being lazy about content.
That is me being practical about income.
There is also another side to it. Taking a break from video production helps keep the content from becoming forced. If I try to turn every single day into a production day, eventually I am not making better content. I am just making noise.
And there is already enough noise out there.
Sometimes the best thing I can do for the channel is go live my actual life, do the work, see what happens, think through it, and come back with something better to say.
That is why Saturday and Sunday may not always have fresh videos from me.
There may be posts.
There may be scheduled articles.
There may be updates.
There may be something I already recorded earlier in the week.
But generally speaking, weekends are when I try to concentrate on making money.
Because that is part of the gig life.
It is not just talking about the work.
It is doing the work.
And if I am going to talk honestly about this life, then I also have to be honest about the fact that sometimes the smart move is to shut up, get in the car, and go earn.
So no, I am not disappearing on the weekends.
I am probably out there doing the part of the gig life that gives me something to talk about later.
You have a good one.

It is not just the gigs.
There is a lot more going on in the brain than just this.
