The First Thing I Ignore

Yes, folks, this is probably going to be the first script I most likely ignore.

You might see me say I was going to do something, and then you might see what actually happened after I got rolling. That is kind of the point.

The blog is now being set up as the place where the scripts for my Breakfast Talk segments will live. That means you will be able to see the written version here and compare it to what actually came out on video.

That should make things a little more interesting.

Because then you can tell the difference between what was planned, what was scripted, what got changed, what got ignored, and what happened because the jackass behind the camera started talking and went off in a different direction.

And yes, that is part of the show.

This is also part of the larger point of the site. The idea is not to pretend that everything is clean, polished, and perfectly controlled. The idea is to show the work. The drafts. The production notes. The differences between the AI-assisted script and the actual human delivery.

So if you are wondering whether AI is directing the show, this is where you will start seeing the answer.

The AI helps organize the mess.

The person behind the camera still has to do the work, make the choices, run the show, and occasionally ignore the script entirely.

Part of today’s work was getting the blog itself into a better shape. I had to remind ChatGPT that yes, I actually like the classic blog layout. The old-school kind. The kind where people can see the posts, the dates, the archives, the categories, and actually navigate the site without needing a treasure map.

You know, those boring useful things that apparently still matter.

Recent posts. Archives. Categories. Dates. A sidebar. A layout that makes sense.

It may not be flashy, but it works.

And that is the point. This site is not just supposed to look like a landing page. It is supposed to become an archive. A working record. A place where the show, the scripts, the production notes, the rideshare stories, and the AI workflow can all be organized in one place.

So this is the start of that.

The first script.

The first post.

And most likely, the first one I ignore.
