The Eleventh Video

The eleventh video focused on a topic that I still feel strongly about today: content creation while actively driving.

At the time, I was watching a growing number of rideshare and delivery creators producing content from behind the wheel. Some were livestreaming, some were recording commentary, and others were interacting with their audiences while operating a vehicle.

I disagreed with the practice then, and I still have concerns about it now.

My position was not based on whether the content itself was good or bad. It was based on the reality that when you are operating a vehicle, your primary responsibility is driving the vehicle safely. Anything that divides attention creates additional risk, whether that distraction comes from a phone, a camera, a livestream, or an ongoing conversation with an audience.

One of the observations I made in the video was that creators are often documenting their own actions. In many cases, they are creating a permanent record of behavior that could later be questioned if something goes wrong. Modern content creation leaves a digital trail, and people do not always consider how that material might be viewed after an incident occurs.

That realization was one of the reasons I moved away from creating content while actively driving. It was a conscious decision to separate the job of driving from the job of producing content.

Looking back, this video reflects another recurring theme that appeared throughout many of the channel’s early discussions: risk management. Whether the subject was platform policies, driver conduct, documentation, training, or technology, the underlying question was often the same:

“Is this creating an unnecessary problem that could have been avoided?”

In this case, my answer was yes.

The content could wait. The vehicle, the road, and the people around it deserved my full attention first.
