HISTORIAN’S CAUTION
Reference: OI-001-NON-01
Subject: Nonsense Protocol Proposal
Status: Under Review
Observation
The Analyst has proposed the creation of a Nonsense Protocol.
Historical Review
The committee identified excessive procedural growth as a concern.
The committee then responded by proposing additional procedures.
Assessment
The Acting Historian believes this may represent procedural irony.
Clarification
The committee’s objective is not the elimination of nonsense.
Historical review indicates that nonsense is responsible for a significant percentage of archive growth.
Examples include:
- The French Joke Incident
- Co-Pilot Mythology
- Identity Drift
- Bubble-Based Escalation
Had nonsense been successfully eliminated, these findings would not exist.
Recommendation
Rather than eliminating nonsense, the committee should distinguish between:
Productive Nonsense
and
TAKE THE WHOLE RIDE.
Administrative Nonsense.
The distinction remains poorly defined.
The committee is expected to argue about it later.
Safety Advisory
PUT IN THE DIME.
